To give rest to the continuously running AC and get respite from the scorcthing heat, we went to sit in an AC hall, with no other option available, landed up watching Dharm.

For once I was happy for the heat wave, this movie is Awesome. Though initially it was a little slow but during that time I was enjoying the chanting of shlokas and music which was beautiful.
Movie catches pace after some time.

Greatest part : In a very simple and subtle way it gives a messages which hits right on the target.

Best Part : Pankaj Kapoor is a LEGEND, he was extremely good and convincing.

The story talks about the religion, rituals and above all the essence of the religion.
Pandit Chaturvedi ( Pankaj Kapoor) is a respected brahmin who strictly follows all the Brahmin rituals including the ones of caste and community. He is shattered to find out that accidently he has adopted a muslim child, after that the struggle of Dharma Sadhna and Dharma Vyakhya is a treat to watch.

Few of my thoughts which got reaffirmed from this movie :

1. Whatever you do, do it with all sincerity and honesty, you will always be respected for that.

2. Religion is not about rituals , it is about essence and interpretations.

3. Love ... don't entangle. if you entangle yourself in love, you will loose both love and dharm.
if you have the capacity of let go of love and also your dharm, you will be able to detach yourself and see it in the right perspective.

4. There is too much in our religious books which I wish to read and learn.
